Crazo's Revenge!

The volcano is lit so that it looks like lava. The shape of the lava pouring down is sopposed to give an impression of his hair. Basically a self portrait of Crazo when he's angry. This is the entrance to the underground rollercoaster. You get eaten by Crazo who is a raging volcano of insanity.

Crazo!

Really rough character ideas for Crazo the clown. The evil clown that inspired the rollercoaster. Crazo has always had a strange sense of humor that never made people laugh. Instead made them scared and afraid. For example making a balloon animal of a snake, and then it turn into a snale. Crazo thought it was funny. This ride is his revenge on the world for not laughing at his jokes. Now he has a way to profit from his talents.

Roller Coaster Car

Idea for the rollercoaster car. I was thinking it should be colorful and fun looking. Also that there should be a large drill in front because the care is plunging head on into the mouth of a volcano!

Rough Roller Coaster

Rough ideas of what I had in mind for the roller coaster. The scale here needs to be more fleshed out and clear. As well as with the overall idea, needs more work.

Rough Character sketches of Mitch

Page with some rough sketches of Mitch.

Interior Donutshop (Unfinished)

This is also Unfinished. I was going for a bar/lounge feel where singles could meet and hangout, like a cafe. That is a donut shop.

Donut Shop Exterior (Unfinished)

This is a decent lay in, I need to add weather and give it some life.

New Rough

Something I shot out last night, trying different approach...I'm not happy with the overall design as simple shapes go. I trying to get a darker feel for this character.

The four character faces for our booklet cover.

Friday, May 29, 2009

This is my final film for Intermidiate Animation. It's still rough, but it was also only sopposed to be 30 seconds long. Anyways, I worked hard on it, I had help from my friends randy Suarez and Chris Jacobs. I hope you enjoy watching!

Here's a rough of the girl

I tweaked out the lips, no time right now to fix'em but I will in the next pass. Changed her holding a ball to flexing, prolly gonna give her more of a bicep.

2nd pass on this guy

This is the second pass on this character of the four I have been working on. I'm prolly gonna tweak him more, and try to add some indication of him already blowing something up. Scuff marks, charcoal on his face.

Set 2

Here's the 2nd rough comp. I'm not thrilled with this because the bacground is unresolved. I also feel I lost a lot of the energy from the first one. So, for the final pass I want to combine the two into one smash hit!

Set with Characters

Here's My first rough comp of the set design with characters. I got a really great critique so I have a second pass. The main parts of the critique were it had too much light. Get the light to 50% so there is an equal amount of dark in the piece. Also there needed to be more perspective to the set so it felt like a place.

Lighted Model Set

So here is the model of the set. We got to light it and take pictures in class. I wasn't thrilled with how it came out with the lights. It looks cool, but I'm going to do a re shoot, I know I can get some better shots!

Set Designs

So these are three very rough sketches of the sets we had to design. We had to pretend our characters were real and going to be performing on a stage. Then once we had these we had to pick one to model, I picked the bottom one.

Character Design

This is a character that represtents an entire wasp race. He's zoomed in, but he's 12 inches tall. Imagine a wasp flying at you that big, now imagine a swarm of those. Wooo. The top version is a similar character I did in High School, you can see how far my drawing has come.

Character Design

This is the young kid in my group. He's unsure about himself and lacks confidence. He's a rogue, quick and skilled in hiding.
